Thread: Service rifle setup

Looking to get an upper setup for service rifle shoots as a way of getting regular trigger time. Will be a cat at this stage but will look for an e cat later

What sort of setup do you fellas run? Do people still shoot irons with the ar15? Or is it mostly acog style optics?

Needs to have the pinned front sight block yes?

Obv needs to be a milspec trigger, is there a preferred trigger that shooters run?

Will be shooting at the bop range fwiw

School me on what a good starter setup would be.
