Tikka 590 in 243 I’ve owned for 30 years with a new Tikka T3 barrel, new cerakote finish and new scope, thanks to team at Hamills Tauranga

Fark, I hate to point out but the grain is in the wrong direction, a fall could give you two blanks.

They tell me that that's the 'right' orientation - it's when it is 90deg to the pistol grip or roughly parallel with the barrel that the amount of surface area of the growth lines/grain in the pistol grip can give you dramas.

    Hey mate,

Is this cerakote black or is it midnight blue? Taking my M695 to get done in a couple of days time but haven't settled on which of those two colours to go with.

Thanks mate. You wouldn't happen to have a pic of the whole rifle with the new coating handy would you? I need to make my decision regarding colour choice by tomorrow afternoon lol.
