    shiping a firearm proper prosess

    I have shipped a few in my time and once I have the police form I box it up and send it as I would any other package with fastways
    my question is should I be telling fastways that its a firearm or not is there any rules around that??

    I have sent twice with post haste, both times the local guys freaked out but phoned head office and got the all clear.

    I don't go out of the way to tell them (fastways) but when I have it hasn't been a prob

    Fastways courier a lot of firearms, and they're fine about it. Nice in this day and age.

    I tell them, simply cos if it did go missing, and I try and claim it from their insurance, they might argue I didn't tell them.

    This. You're going to have an interesting day if the firearm got stolen enroute.
