I use surfshark but its not free about $180 for 2 years currently. No limits in respect of data use and means I can watch other countries Netflix catalogues

If you are not fussy or more budget focused, use proton vpn. Its free. Im able to watch alone via history channel direct from America. Probably not in 1080p but its good enough.

Opera browser used to have a built in one but im not sure that is still a thing.
@akaroa1 if you know how to install a browser i can find out if that works and let you know. If not and you need someone a bit more tech savy i could dona step by step or pop around. Im assuming your somewhere on banks peninsula, judging by your name.

All this advice is based on pc. Im sure its similar on phone and I'm happy to look into it.

If you use a mac. I have no idea.

Nz organizations do the same errors. Major retailers product search function as rubbish.

The number of websites that don't follow the fundamentals like having contact details on the home page is impressive

Once you've got the hang of it and what not to click so you don't loose everything... After that, it's just slow.

    The DOC website.

It should be the go to for route info, hut and track photos etc but it's rubbish. Wouldn't be hard to link up with the tramping clubs for trip reports or have their hut/track maintenance teams write decent descriptions of the major tracks.
    hebe and XR500 like this.

It's the same BS for the hut bookings on great walks vs all the other huts You need separate logins for each site.
