Thread: Sholder mounted recoil pads

My mate is after a strap on (sounds dodgy doesn’t it)
For two reasons

One hes a very tall guy and the rifle has a shorter length of pull
So a bit of padding will add thickness

2 its a 45-70 with a steel but plate shooting big bullets and hot charges for long range black powder shooting
So hurt’s a bit when shooting big 40 or 50 round matches

Tryed a limsaver slip on stock one but no good as they don’t fit the old curved butt plate well

So he wants to try a shoulder strap

What brands/models are people useing
