According at alliants load date RL26 will push 105gr bullets to over 3000 fps from a standard 243.
I'm getting just on 3000 fps from mine and 0.7 gr under their max. will note that it's a cheap crony I'm using.
That will give you over 2100 fps and just over 1000 fpe at 500 mtr.

that put you above the 17-1800 fps velocity where bullet expansion performance drops off.
Not going to say that there are not better options for shooting deer at 500 mtr but it can be done.
mate had a large hind get up and bolt after a short range hit from his 7m08 using a 139 SST Hornady last year.
