Thread: "Short-Pig" ideas - Short barrel 22rf semi-auto??

Following a couple of missions where the barrel of my Miroku "Browning" SA-22 (with suppressor) keeps getting hung up on things I want to do a special "truck gun". Its too nice to cut down or I'd do it in a hearbeat - also the tube mag is a pain in a truck.

Semi auto I think. Minimum legal length barrel (I'll have it cut) with suppressor. Got to shoot really well (much as I like 10-22's they are too "variable" in the accuracy stakes). Don't care what sort of stock. Can't have a tube mag (which I like) cause I want to cut the barrel short.

So - without spending a lot of money can anyone suggest something better than a Marlin 795 (or similar model) for my 22 "Short Pig". Ideas??
