The only reason you need that much "performance" is if you can not be bothered learning how to shoot. You would just be getting familiar with the load and set up, I mean really familiar, then barrel off, start again. What a godawful pain in the arse.
Better to have something where the round "dribbles" out the barrel, and actually learn how to shoot it, than just waste money and barrels on something that rips its self to pieces five minutes after you put it together.
Lots of fearsome rounds about, that will tear an elephant in half and have good barrel life and are easy to shoot. Horribly overbore magnums are all kinds of pointless. What difference does it make how far you have to wind the elevation turret? Its completely irrelevant. Speed has very little influence on wind bucking ability, compared to BC. Better a slow moving super high BC big bore, you have a chance of growing familiar with before it disintegrates.
