Got an invite on private land/ pond for duck season. Owner doesn't want yhe neighbour's ms ( a greenie who don't even want rabbits culled. .) Upset .22 sub works a treat

Does suppressors even work on a shottie?

@FSS makes an awesome suppressed 410, my friends next door neighbor's missus is way too far removed for me to give a shit what she thinks tho. just use what ever you have safely and legally and ignore the cow

    A12's work pretty damn good.

Ideally with heavy loads that are under 1100. Lots of little supersonic cracks otherwise.

You may struggle to get effective subsonic performance with steel shot. Either struggle to get it subsonic, or struggle to kill with it if it is subsonic.

I am using a poor mans .410 baikal version of what FSS makes. The porting doesn't start until after the forend, it is plenty enough that pets and stock aren't bothered by it but the factory loads are still loud enough that I don't operate as if my shooting activities will be unknown to anyone in the area.

Been using a Sulun Tac12 with Atec A12 a lot in the last few weeks.

I haven't had someone else shoot it and stand 100m away yet but from the shooters position it is still quite loud, I even got a slab of subsonic 7.5 to test and with that running about 950fps in the short barrel it still seems loud. The best way I can describe it is like a centrefire when suppressed, the boom is gone but still plenty of noise. Not at all like a sub suppressed 22lr.

It's illegal to shoot waterfowl will suppressor I think you will find...it's why the U/o that came out ten or more years back didn't take off

I got advice from a Fish and Game officer, and he said surpressors are fine. The regulations are silent on the matter....see what I did there?

Nope can't see it either happy to be wrong...that said steel at 1100fps sucks big time...until we got loads going over 1400fps it sucked n blew chunks at same time.lots wounded and bloody hard to finish off,the shells were more effective if thrown at duck swimming away on water. Thankfully we now have good fast loads, slow steel absolutely sucks.slow bismuth MIGHT be ok??

There used to be. In the same section where it stated it your gun must be a shoulder gun
