Thread: Should i sell my rifle as a whole or split to parts

I put my 6.5 prc on the buy sell as whole rifle and no one seemed keen. so i would i be better off to sell it as parts ie barrel ,timmy trigger. action ,ect . your thoughts please gents

Split it up. It suits prospective buyers requirements and will yield you better resale value.

Yeah its in my experience its easier to sell a rifle as individual items; Scope, Suppressor, rifle+rings
Otherwise you are trying to find a buyer looking for that exact package. You can normally get a touch more for the whole thing if broken up too.

Would have to agree with this.

Theres a sako 85 finnlight on trade me for sale in 6.5 x55. The listing must have been on there for most of this year and includes rifle plus scope/ plus suppressor. Would suspect if the gent seperated the package it would have sold long ago....

Yep, thats the one!!! Was watching that auction awhile back and someone took him to task over the price,, he got rather defensive over it.

Try the complete rifle without scope first, there must be somebody out there that wants it, 6.5pcr is a rather interesting caliber, the person to buy it needs to be able to do simple sums, add the replacement up and compare it to a standard Rem700.

What was your PRC?? I never saw that for sale........

Kudu i have re listed in buy /sell forum ,6.5 prc Rem 700 .Hopefully guys following your feed back i have done a better job cheers Wayno
