Interesting revival of an old thread that I participated in at the beginning saying I was contemplating a Howa .
Since then I’ve owned/purchased four of them .
    Butt……..
I only still have one in the Safe , a .223 1500 SA (not the mini ) 20 inch Heavy Barrel - Fluted in a Stocky’s Carbon Fibre Stock
Very good Rifles for the money that just don’t seem to have much soul or vibe for some reason .
They are usually the first thing I recommend to a new shooter or just someone wanting a “ tool “ because they work without to much fuss .
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE NUMBERS , NOT THE IDEA

Here's one way to add some zing to a plain old Howa @Ground Control

Just in case you hadn't seen it. This stock is so good it really needs a custom refinished action with an aftermarket barrel in an interesting calibre fitted. And some one-off bottom metal that befits the quality of the stock too!
