I dont suppose you have chronied any hornady a superformance in .308? Believe they state something like 3000fps for this load? Thought I had my handloads going okay but velocities like that make me feel inadequate

The most accurate rifle I have ever owned was a Howa....it was a shit of a thing for not extracting fired cases but would consistently print less than half moa 10 shot groups at 200m with factory ammo.
It shot better than any other rifle I have owned including a few brand spanking Sakos.....however it was a 223 and they are easy to shoot.
I have just bought another Howa 223 this time the mini action and not the bull barrel for my son,I dont expect it to shoot anywhere near that good but hopefully it is a shooter too.

You should get pretty close/perhaps a touch more handloading if you have a 24" plus barrel.

The 150gr gmx superformance is doing 2635 from my 16” Howa.

Dunno, haven’t shot anything with it yet!

Cloverleaf at 100y though

Was quite strange, is really accurate with the180gr Winchester PowerPoint, albeit at a slow 2200fps (great bush load) but absolutely hated any other normal factory 150gr loads (like 5” group hated!)
But loves the superformance.
Must be something to do with the harmonics at a particular speed.
