Thread: Shout out for Howa

Agreed, they feel crappy with an overly heavy trigger pull. Lighten that sucker up and they're very nice. Maybe not Timney nice perhaps, wouldn't know as I've never owned one. But very nice nonetheless.

The HACT trigger is very easy to work on to lighten the actuator spring (either chop or replace with lighter spring rate). Once modified it's a nice unit for OEM on a bargain cheap rifle - a Timney is half the cost of a whole Howa!

Now about those Hogue stocks....

Edit: Pro tip - put clear tape over the top of the teensy tiny circlips when you try to remove or replace them. Ask me how I know this is invaluable advice 😁
