    Show me your lightweight rifle

Im interested to see what others are running in regards to a bush/short - mid range hunting rifle, more so on the lightweight side of things. Whos doing what, and what does your rifle weigh as a complete rifle with scope, loaded ready to hunt?

My Kimber Montana (17 inch, fluted barrel), with DPT (incl stainless baffle), leupold VX-R 1.25-4 scope and 5 rounds comes in at 2.94kg. It's a bit lighter nowadays as only run 4 rounds, and I've swapped for a titanium handle and don't run a S1 dial any more.

Mod7 carbon, 16” 1:8, heavy fluted. Can’t claim the hard work as built by another fella on here, but enjoying using over past few years. Runs a Z5, 2-10. 69-77gr not fussy. Light enough..

Those are a great stock aren't they? I had a good play with one and so light but reassuringly solid!

Love this little rifle, incredibly useable, 1.935kgs, perfect for taking for a walk/tramp when you might see something

    https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....minator-13685/

Recently got it going well with the 69 Hammer Absolute Hunters going even quicker than the 70 GMX that are obsolete

And on the opposite end of the scale

Caution scrolling through Photobucket can bring back painful memories

Since made it put weight on by changing things around was very hard to shoot accurately 7 saum pretty handy weight for a fat barreled magnum

    Rem model 7.

All up about 3kg at most locked and loaded.

    7mm08 and it just works.

Neck shot yearling at 255y from Saturday.

For a factory rifle the Kimbers would be high up the list along with the bergara extreme hunters.

Husqvarna 1600, 308. Manufactured in 1960, sold out of Tuckers Sports in Ashburton in 1961. Kahles Helia 1.5-6. May have had 4 boxes of ammo through it in all those years. A lightweight rifle from when nobody knew what lightweight rifle was, 3.48kg.
