    Sig Sauer BDX Demo

Managed to get a few hours with this the other day.

Very well thought out system and will be cheap in NZ (sub 2K) for a LRF and Scope!

    Check it out.

I would happily use it for varmint work. It's not thicker than a standard duplex .250 MOA wide IIRC

Looks pretty cool. I’m always a fan of things that work. Great for shooters that don’t understand how dialing works. Sig has a good reputation for stuff that works well.
The swaro is a nice idea, but it’s still a very expensive medium range hunting scope. Glass is great, size is rediculous. So far it’s not wanting to line up past 500 on the one I’ve seen the most. It’s not my rifle and not me shooting so I can’t guarantee it’s not a shooter error. I might get a chance soon to shoot it right out and try to get it to line up. We have had to rezero it 3 times now. All the mounts are solid and high quality.

The BDX system works out to 800 yards with 1 MOA of accuracy . . . from the sig website

thats not good enough for varminting or much else ( to me ) . . . in all the vids the range was always 400 odd yards, i wouldnt go further either

is dialing so hard to understand or what ?

So if your shooting you guarantee no shooter error?

hahahaha, yeah right, maybe on the day that there is no wind, or whoever drives the range finder becomes a guru at estimating wind speed.

    back in the real world...

I kinda feel there is a bit missing from that video.

what was the size of the target ? was it 1 moa or 10 moa ?
the fleeting thru-the-scope view right at the end was not all that clear, not sure which dot was supposed to be aligned with the target...
does the system take into account wind hold-off as well as elevation, or just elevation ?
