Thread: Sighting a 308

Hey guys,

I recently got a new scope for my 308 and have been told that I should be sighting it in at 200m whereas I have also been told 100m. Can anyone offer some advice as to what they would recommend? .

And also yesterday when we were testing the scope I had it shooting in a straight line up and down but as I began to adjust the height, the bullets started going all over the show (after roughly 20 shots). I was wondering if the barrel getting hot would effect this much? Otherwise theres always the possibility I'm just a shit shot
