I have one of these on the 22 and one awaiting mounting on the SKS.

Buy Tactical 4-Reticle Green/Red Dot Sight Rifle Scope Gun Mount (1 x CR2032)

So far it is working out ,and if you don't like that one there are plenty more to choose.

Don't go too cheap. The workings of the SKS auction tends to bump scopes and destroy cheap trash quickly. Put an SKS recoil buffer in also. SLRs and FN FALs are also terrible for this with a bigger .308 version of the same tilting block action. My SLR ruined a number of middle range scopes before I got a buffer and a decent scope. Keen to try out a Vortex, people seem to rave about them.

I did what everyone else recommends not to: fitted a cheapo reflex sight, on top of a scoutscopes.com mount, replacing the rear sight. All of about $25 from China. Holding up fine so far.
