    Sling options

Hi team, been a little while between posts but wanting peoples opinions on slings. I’ve always used an old leather sling for all my rifles but she’s fairly old and oiled and as such is smooth and slips a bit when slung. Suggestions? The rubber slings like alright...

    Cheers!

+1 on Niggeloh slings. I've typically used either old leather slings that I leave permanently on the rifles or a generic budget option that I only use for carrying in then take off once bush stalking. I've only recently changed to the Niggeloh on the reccomendation of a hunting mate who swears by them and I'll be putting one on all my rifles from now on

+2 on Niggoloh. I put the fore-end sling loop around the barrel and they are even better, if that is possible

Out of curiosity, what makes them so much better ? I'll be needing a sling for a new rifle very soon.
I was pretty much sold on getting a limbsaver ultralight....

Does that not effect the POI? Can see how it would carry nicer though.

I’ve got both, a neoprene butler creek that I’ve had for years and a relatively new niggeloh.
To be honest the only difference i can see is the difference in price.

Cool, and the advantage of carrying it that way, Better balance with a longer barreled rifle?

Changes the balance point so that the rifle 'hangs' on the shoulder and doesnt swing. Also when the rifle is slung across both shoulders the sling has an auto adjust by sliding up the barrel. Niggoloh has just the right amount of stretch to absorb impact like a shock absorber and stop the rifle bouncing if you are running or moving fast on rough ground

It appears that MSL has been spying on me even down to the Z5

That’s from 2017. It also leaves the front sling stud free for attaching a bipod, without having to take the sling off.
