    SMLE, what's it worth?

    Hey team,

A lad wants to pass this on, and I am in need of something like this, I know little about them and want to make sure we both know what they are going for.

Bayonet has had a "sharpening" by Bubba, nose cap action and bolt have matching #.

Bore "looks great" - said a guy who collects old bits of gun shaped metal

    Yep, I'd agree with this.
In longrange riflery, trajectory is the pure science part. Gravity is a constant for our purposes.
Wind is in the art department.
    Light is pure fucking voodoo.

I would have said around $600. That said I didn`t pay anywhere near that for the last couple of Enfield's. Have a look at what GC is trying to sell them for and divide by about 4. The Blade would add some more.

If you pay $600 for that including the bayonet, you stole it.

    $600-700 without bayonet.
The bayonets go for around $100-$150

go to bank....get out 10 $100 bills... go visit your mate.....place them down on table one at a time and tell him to pick them up when HE IS HAPPY you have offered enough.....
at end of day THAT is what matters.
no rifle is worth falling out with a mate over the price.

What if anything is stamped on the rear of the action body just next to where the safety catch is? Basically between the bolt raceway and the safety catch on the left hand side of the rear of the action body just in front of the butt...

It might be my eyes but is that a hole in the rear of the action body visible in picture 1 ? Drilled through the bolt raceway.

If its been drilled for a peep sight that's going to knock the value, dose it still have a safety catch?

    What is the bore like?
