    SNDWAY Rangefinders

Does anyone have experience with these SNDWAY Rangefinders: https://trademe.nz/marketplace/sport...ing/2005108367

    Are they any good?

Yes, they work and accurate too. Someone did a review on here, Dougie I think. Way cheaper if you order directly from China/AliExpress. My only criticism is that that they fall down a bit in low light, but excellent value.

Thanks MB. Already saw the price on AliExpress. Thought it was too good to be true.

AliExpress is fine, just be a little savvy in choosing the vendor - good ratings, high number of sales etc. Delivery time is 1 - 2 months though. That's the downside.

I’ve got one... put it head-to-head with my boss’s $1600 Leica and they were within 1m of each other at 250m. Slightly lower light transmission and the digital display can be a bit hard to read as others have pointed out, but I can’t see myself needing to upgrade it any time soon.

I'm curious, wow would you do with it on its own, like if you find yourself out there and you've left your binoculars in the car?

Yep. Got one off Aliexpress, I think a 900 or 950 or something. Does what it says on the box. Very happy with it. Was about 135 delivered, was here in about 10 days to 2 weeks.

Edit, just checked account, its the 1000m model, and was 89usd, so whatever that works out at on the day.

The issue would be the small field of view, and I think most rangefinders would be similar in that respect. You might lose a few minutes at either end of the day due to the light transmission. I find it hard looking through a monocular for any length of time as well. Certainly wouldn't walk back to the car for my binos though, and it's small enough to keep in easy reach in a chest pocket.

    Thanks all,

After reading all the comments and reviews, I ordered one of AliExpress. Now it is just the long wait until it arrives!

Just ordered one early last week and arrived yesterday. Quite impressed for $120 landed. Seems to match more or less my mates Bushnell job at 6+ x the price.

Can definitely see the display is going to be a little difficult to see in low light but I can live with that.

I don't own any binoculars yet, so use my SNDWAY. It's probably crap for spotting, but I don't know any better. It has definitely found me a few animals in the bush and on the farm that I would have otherwise spooked, or not seen at all. In due course, I would like to get some range finding binoculars, so I'm saving the pennies.
