    Don't do it man!

Now that I've tried, the new Reloaders website looks much improved. Oh and $30 off new firearms!

Wouldn't buying some larger mags for your Vepr be a less expensive proposition?

Easier to win lotto than get bigger Vepr mags.

    Thats on the cards.
I'm loath to pull apart the 200+ .308 rounds I just loaded up for the Vepr though. Half will be shot at the ASRA 30cal shoot though.

DPMS gen 2 looks the best design of large frame AR but I struggle to call anything DPMS "nice"

How about importing it as a kit of parts? I mean $3K NZ looks expensive. I agee with Gimp, its one nice looking rifle, but DPMS reviews seem a little off shall we say, enough to point me at other makers.

    Do it for Sams inheritance

Agree with Steven. Mate brought in parts to make his own AR15 on the cheap. Now has 5 of them

Yeah Im doing the same for an AR15, later I'd like to consider an AR10 but not a $3k one.

Just looking at brownells a 24inch SS barrel complete AR308 upper is $750USD, includes BCG so about $1200NZ landed?

    Complete Cat E lower 308, $570USD, 700NZ?

So the saving looks to be $1k or more? (what am I missing here?) Need a few mags...

    Cheers steven.

Just have to work out how to sneak a few boxes from Brownells past the Mrs.
Bit harder than one rifle, which I can do when she is out.
