Thread: Spartan Hoplite tripod

Ive got one.
Really well made bit of kit.
However I would view it as an ultimate bipod replacement, rather than a mini tripod. Its just too short for anything other than fitting to a rifle. Whats missed on people I think is the fact the ball is in the top of the tripod rather than on top of it,which seems to somehow make the whole thing easier for target acquisition. Im not an engineer so cannot really explain it but it works.
Im told there are moves afoot for a longer legged model,this I think would be more versatile as you could use it in tussock country and also mount a small spotter on it.
