    Spike's Tactical M4-gery, what's it worth?

I bought this AR recently from a friend who had to sell it due to a change in circumstances, and now I must sell it due to change in circumstances. Does anyone know what it might realistically be worth to sell? It's a Spike's Tactical with Magpul CTR adjustable stock, MOE grip, and Magpul back-up iron sight. He said it is all mil-spec and good to go for service rifle (if they're strict on having things in 'as-issued' configuration in your neck of the woods, round here it they don't really care). I'm new to the whole 'AR' world so I don't know all that much about the different parts, any input is appreciated and I can find out whatever I don't know. I'll sell it with five 30-round USGI mags, with Magpul anti-tilt followers, as well as a gun bag. The scope and riser/rail won't be included but I'm getting rid of them too.
    Cheers, Tom

I have a few ST AR's and a Mega, and assuming the upper is all spikes, my guestimate would be around ~$2400 new, excluding the scope & mount.
That's based of the basic rifle worth ~$1900+ adding the carbine buffer assembly, CTR stock & grip... $400+ ish (...if bought local, and assuming the rifle started life as A-cat), and $100+ for the magpul BUIS (if you buy from brownells etc...)...

So second hand, ...well its worth what someone is willing to pay.

If you know the spec's of the following it would help:
    - Barrel: 16" Spikes? 1/7 twist?, ... etc
    - BCG: Spikes ?
    - I would assume trigger & LPK is all spikes, but if you know, let people know...

    Good luck!

Not that I care as long as people are shooting and having fun, but that would be a open class rather than service class rifle under nzsra rules. Hardly a issue at club level buy would be a pity for someone to think they were in service class and show up at the nationals or the like to be told they were in open.

    Nice rifle-I must resist

The barrel is stamped: ST (Spike's Tactical I'm guessing?) MIL-B-11595E CMV (chrome moly vanadium?) 5.56 NATO 1/7 CL HP MP. Bolt carrier group has the Spike's logo. Unsure about the lower part and trigger, I shall try to find out. Would I be reasonable looking for $2000 including the five mags?

For it to meet service class, changing the grip to an A2 grip, and the stock to a M4 Carbine stock should get it into Service class.
...and having a fixed optic of no more than 4x.

My guestimate above for the MBUIS was a little high, as its only the rear sight...

I think $2000 is a reasonable price with the mags... like any of us selling AR's, start high... and drop only if you need to, or interest is low...
I'm just trying to tell myself I don't need another.

Looks like a Magpul or BCM trigger guard as well. That would need to come off too.
