Thread: Spiral Fluting Barrel

Old thread I know but..... spiral fluting on a bolt does serve a purpose so you are incorrect that is is useless, it is a actually used to make it easier to cut through ice if your action gets iced up, I have a friend in Canada that hunts in VERY cold climates and he told me why he had his rifle bolt fluted after I gave him grief about it.
