Yep you have to watch Chinese cheapies. This one says it uses a 4000mAh 18650 - they don't make those yet!!

Lightforce make good handhelds. The Maxtoch 2X and XPro rate up amongst their best - the HID lights - but at a fraction of price and weight, and no cables or batt systems. The cheapie mentioned above isn't in that class at all.

Moa - I see you're in Nth Canterbury - if you're coming to Chch soon bring your spottie and we'll do a lux/range comparison test with the Maxtochs - PM sent. Always good fun to see what's out there

Tropo - can lend you an XPro to test out if you haven't seen it..
