My son and I had been hunting hard trying to pick up a beast from late avo well into dark.It meant a cruel drag up the gorge and then an hour continually rising to the truck.It was thick near the lip of the gorge. We broke out and paused. Crash over to the left and up. No 2x or Xpro because they were at home. Woteva. Put the headlamp on full beam ,swung it up to the noise hissing at my son to get ready. Neon golfballs. Bang. Nothing. Bugger. Sure you hit it. Clamber up thru the scrub. OMG. Fatty. That was 9.45pm . 2 hours later collapsed at the Hilux absolutely r..ted.
