Thread: Spotlight mounts (torch style) what's the go?

Hi all, and a happy new year

Whats the best method for mounting your torch to the scope for spotlighting?

Rabbits and possums with the 22 is the goal.

This looks good but after ideas.

depends on dia of torch body we just use that basic figure 8 clamp you get cheap on tm

Agree with northdude. A lot of the other styles are over-engineered, fiddly and less effective.

I use the same set up. Works well if it fits your torch. I got mine direct from aliexpress pre covid. Got a couple of extra mounts so can swap torch between rimfire and centrefire as required.

those ones look good as well

With your superb lure making skills Gibo, you could make one with ease.
A piece of PVC pipe as long as the torch, split and shaped ( easy to heat and bend a flared end) to grip the torch.
Mount it under the rifle, off the sling stud and the rifle will sit nicely without trying to flop over from the extra weight up top. Carry the torch in hand until game is spotted then slip it into the mount
