What are people's thoughts on reasonable tripods currently in the market? Scope will be used for trips to the tops and maybe an occasional range day but range use is way behind hunting efficiency and effectiveness. Glassing would be from a sitting position and the scope has an angled eyepiece to accommodate.
Looking at some of the Manfrottos but there are so many options out there. Even some of the aliexpress stuff seems to be getting good reviews.

Heard good things of slik ones, just use my factory leupold one. See if you can get a spare adapter to go to a camera in the future.
Manfrotto befree carbon.
I've been looking at the manfrotto befree. Carbon is a bit out of my price range but the ali model looks pretty solid. Do you find the quality level to be pretty good?Quote:

I have a manfroto ali with quick detach mount and cam legs and rate it (just haven't used it enough......)

Don’t buy the low end manfrotto - garbage. Mine has rapidly fallen to pieces and not keen to go that route again...

I've got a alloy slik that I bought about 5-6 years ago and gets strapped on the side of my pack every trip. Still going well. Has not been looked after
