About LinkBacksJust from the specs of various chassis systems that I've seen, they weigh 3-10+ lbs empty. For example, the XLR chassis for a Remington 700 is 3lbs 13 oz (1.72kg) without barreled action. Adding parts like a folding stock, which is one of the reasons I'd want one, especially on a short gun, adds more weight. A typical synthetic stock like a McMillan weighs what, around 600 grams?
