Storing seldom used blued guns - product recomendations

    Hi guys,

Just noticed that despite all my best efforts of keeping a dry environment in my safe (dehumidifiers etc) my old 303s with worn patinas are still getting rust spots.

What grease products would you guys recommend for maximum protection from moisture? Keep in mind they do get used a few times a year, so cosmoline and really thick grease is not an option.

    Cheers.

I’ve found Kroil seems to work well.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Dampchaser is a good addition. 17W. My old safe was in a basement garage. If i didnt top up with clp often enough they would get surface rust where bluing was worn. Even stainless would get it. Pretty much stopped it. Still made sure i oiled everything but it lasted way longer.
