Anyone have any knowledge or feedback on Strasser rifles ?
Specifically the RS family of straightpull rifles
Looking at getting one to replace my maral, but can’t find any info online that doesn’t sound like a paid review 👍

I liked the idea but after having shot one I would prefer a Heym . Even my mate that got a free one traded it off after a season for a Bergara.
Seriously

The importer of them in nz is a really nice guy, and make the effort of being at every sika show. It is more a side business/ hobby for him. If they were bad rifles, they would not be produced anymore and that importer would not bother bringing them in.
Cheers team, based off the info I’d be better off going back to a maral or similar
Blaser idea looks better
For that kind of money status in invers will machine up a 20mm single shot rifle, which would be far more rewarding to nail a deer with.
20MM Take-Down Rifle - Anzio Ironworks
So I see they are happy to export
Also nice to see it can be customized for weight from 39 pounds to 100+ pounds

Strasser make some cool stuff, I like some of their "out of the box" type features ( seems other Euro manufactures are using similar systems nowadays ) it is however a very competitive market & they're up against some big established hitters.
Jason who is the NZ importer is a top guy & great to deal with, I've had one on my "to get list" for a few years now & will at some stage, probably as a varmint rifle as I find them a little heavy for my style of walk hunting, also the multi barrel thing doesn't really interest me but would go that way to future proof myself, lastly & probably why I haven't got one yet is that I'm so use to turn bolt centrefire rifles, I've owned one straight pull & you need to concentrate on what system you're using when under pressure during a hunt, But like everything it just takes time & practice.
PS - Ironically & more proof we're living in a simulation, I got a couple of messages saying that I was on the news tonight, some old stock footage of Jason, a Stasser rifle & myself on his stand at the Sika Show a few years back lol.
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!
Blaser or Merkel Helix are your number two choices.
Beretta BRX1 getting good press
