    Stronghold Innovations stocks

Anyone had any experience with these guys in either their tactical or hybrid stocks? I'm ordering one to replace the flimsy plastic stock on my kimber 84 (cheap hunter model) and none of the big aftermarket stockbuilders seem to do anything for a kimber yet. Maybe because there was never much demand for replacing the already quite nice stock on the montana rifles?

You have pretty much answered your question.
I had one of their AR 15 stock in hand , and it was really well made and beautifully finished. No flows in the carbon laminations as it can be seen from time to time on other productions.
Now regarding the design...it is...special. But the ergonomy might suit you well.
McMillan can inlet their stock for kimber

I actually have a tactical stock on my 284 at the moment.
As Friwi said they are well made and look the part but the fore end it quite wide and not the most practical for hunting but each to their own.
I really like it with the modified pistol grip as well which is more comforatble. see pic below

Do you know if the "hybrid" model they do is just as wide? Doesn't appear it in this pic of another one they did for a 300aac but hard to say. I guess they could probably narrow it down a bit if requested anyway?

If that fore end wasn't so wide it would be a nice hunting stock.
Be interested to see if they can slim them down.

I think they do but it would be best to get a hold of Clayton just to confirm it.
