    Sub-sonic suppressor

    Hello Guys

Sorry if these are dumb questions but I've not had much to do with supressors (except the old ones that used to be common on .22's)

So if one needed to put an animal down at an event with the minimum of fuss (there is a vet present who supervises, and they can euthanaise with drugs but it spoils the meat for anything else, a terrible waste) and didn't want to alarm the crowd would a sub-sonic load in say a .303 or something like that make a bang that would be noticeable over the music and noise of a typical A & P show or rodeo etc ??

Don't tell me you could do it with a ordinary supersonic load, I've been around enough shots fired with them (through suppressors) to know that it would be noticed, as would a typical humane killer.

    Ta

Don't forget that there are a few hoops to jump through before you can legally discharge a firearm in a public place - without them spoiled meat would be the least of your concerns.
