    Suggestions for a scope

Thinking I may need a new scope in the future for a PRS type rifle, looking for suggestions. Want something in the 2-10 range, dont need any more than 10X to shoot to 700. Probably SFP cos its much easier to see the cross hairs at low power for those close shots. Dialable, and must have zero stop.......lets have at it and see whats out there, new or second hand. And yes I am a Kahles fan.

That would be nice mikee, but dont want to go to 18X, nor 50mm. Be quite happy to find a nice tidy scope in the 2/3 - 10 range, that dials with zero stop. Most manufacturers want to keep going bigger and bigger, with all its inherent issues, I just want a scope about the average size of our old school scopes.

I've shot with this scope before and it's a little beauty....the Burris XTR II Riflescope 2-10x42mm
34 mm body tube but small footprint.
Designed for PRS, tactical, and competitive mid/long-range shooting.
Has side focus and zero stop. Illuminated reticle.
It's available in either Mil or MOA but only in FFP.
And don't forget the Burris Forever Warranty.

I use a couple FFP scopes for long range and PRS/Hunter type events and find Im too busy turning up the power to get a cross hair thick enough for quick target acquisition, so am happy to use SFP for this project. Looks like Kahles have a 2-10 that might fit the bill.

Leupold Mk4 3.5-10x 40mm, 30mm tube. Just under 600 grams for the illuminated versions.

M1 and M5 turrets are 'open/target' type turrets (one is 1/4 MOA the other 1/2 I think)

M2 and M3 turrets are 'single turn/tactical/BDC' setups (former is 1/2 MOA clicks latter is 1 MOA clicks)

The illuminated models have a 'Euro' style fast focus eyepiece whereas the non-illuminated ones have locking eyepieces.

I have an illuminated M3 version. Shame they don't sell these anymore, nice wee scopes. You might get lucky and pick one up used.

I love this setup for hunting but I cant imagine it's ideal with PRS style shooting as it does take a bit of extra attention when rezeroing.

I typed this up but for some reason it didn't show up. Definitely a good option plus resale value is great vs most other options.
