Yes that’s the compromise of lightweights. I had a model 7 .223 in the past that I struggled to shoot well consistently. Lightweight, and thin proportions made it a tough proposition for top accuracy. The two centrefires that I now own are 8.9lb and 9.12lb. They’re lovely to shoot, and am far more consistent with them. They’re still a touch heavy, I’d be happy with 8lb on the nose for the best of both worlds.
The main culprit for the weight on my two shooters is they both wear very robust FFP dial scopes- 26oz each
