About LinkBacksWhen I had a 30/06 I used 165gr Nosler ballistic tips at about 2650fps for deer in the bush and out to about 200ish yards ( this was well before rangefinders and chronographs ). I used 130gr Speer hollow points for goats.
For a bush pig load I'd try a 130gr TTSX. If you wanted to reach 600yds then the 168gr or 178gr amax/ eldm would be the ones to try. I don't think you will get one projectile to get from point blank to 600yds.
