Hardy is local to you I have dpts and like them have had 1 hardy and liked that to
I have gunworks on my 7mm08
Greystone on my 7rm and a friend has dpt on his 308
All are good suppressor
If you have a decent budget have a look at the A-Tek optima line.
Got mine from stager sports. The A lok system means you can use them on multiple rifles and the design/quality is up there with your sako.
Been using the 45 right up to a 300prc and I’d use it in my 7mm08 as well if I didn’t already have a dpt on it.
Is the alok a mounting system or is it to do with cal used on? As a standard thread also means you can use them on multiple rifles? Are they muzzle foward or overbarrel mate?
Put a dpt on my 308,
What I like about it is that I can disassemble it, and it is modular. Since i dont care about ultumate suppression, I removed 2 baffles to save a bit of length and weight.
Pleasant to shoot even without hearing protection.
Had a gunworks on my 7mm08 for over 3k rounds, never had an issue.
Since changed to dpt when I rebarreled rifle, not much between the two, imo.

Optima are over barrel. They don’t come back quite as far as dpt but very similar design.
You buy an alok adapter for each BARRWL THREAD you want to use it on. Then you can transfer the suppressor onto each rifle as needed.
Provided the suppressor is in a calibre same or larger than the rifle you are shooting it works well. I simply got a 30cal suppressor and it will cover anything smaller, 7mm, 223 etc
If all your rifles have the same barrel thread then this system won’t give you any benefits. In that case just weld the adapter permanently into the suppressor with red loctite and it becomes just like any other suppressor. [I wouldn’t do that personally as the a lok adapters are goood]
north island...go DPT
South island go gunworks
that way rifle can go to the maker of suppressor for fitting.....and both are great to deal with and have great honest products..both will be contactable in future should need arise.
there is not much between them all in real world terms.
75/15/10 black powder matters
Ive got a gunworks magnum over barrel on my howa 7mm08 its a bit front heavy but all you can hear is the bullet breaking the sound barrier and no boom from it at all

so it looks like a DPT is the more preferred and it make sense since I'm in the north island, but not much praise for hardy? hardy is local to me but i often travel to Hamilton so either one is fine by me. is there any reason to go for a DPT over a Hardy?
How often would you take it apart and that would be for cleaning I’m assuming?
