Having owned a Gunworks suppressor since 1997, I have found all other supressors noisier. In standard form DPT are too noisy, and need 2-4 extra baffles (308) to dull it down to Gunworks sound levels (in my experience). I have had my Gunworks come loose only once (1/4 turn) and never had baffle strike. Had the DPT come loose twice, at less than 1/4 turn and had baffle strike.

Yes, they (Gunworks) are longer and heavier (a bit). But in the realm of suppressors, you don't get something for nothing.

Think we need to point out that the silencer testing was NOT done in conjunction with Hardy!!!

Hardy did loan the test equipment and facility to Rod and Rifle but were not involved in doing the testing.

I have read Dean's commentary on the test results and it's not nice. Interesting to see that in 2019 he purchased a newer higher performance test unit and is claiming that this should have been used in the testing plus of course like all manufactures and sellers he has a vested interest in this.
Well that's a bugger if it was not available in 2017 when the testing was done.

The equipment used at the time was a Larson Davis LXT... In the review they don't specify which LXT variant was used.
looking at the L & D LXT's they range from offering ones only for environmental noise which would be useless for gun fire through to models specifically designed for explosions and gun fire testing.
