2 questions regarding suppressors
1. Can a suppressor be drilled/bored out to a bigger calibre? Say for example from 6.5 to 30cal
2. Does a OB suppressor need the rear bush fitted when in use?
Thanks

yes if done accurately to avoid bullet strike and 100% yes its needed to avoid misalignment is most cases
Who in the Hamilton region can bore out the rear bush and suppressor to a bigger calibre?
Try DPT in Te Rapa, great guys to deal with. DPT Machinists, Unit 11, 706 Te Rapa Road, Hamilton

Unless you have a mate who can bore it out, selling it and buying a used 30 cal one would be cheaper would it not?
Try DPT first, if that doesn't work give Arthur Cleland (Gunsmith) a call to see if he can help.

Got some that work just fine without bushes, unpractical to bore out due to remaining bush would barely be thread depth plus a hair thick overall holding it together.
with a drill bit .2mm bigger than the bullet you are sending at least
wack it in a lathe and get it straight and run it thru and clean up any burrs
there will be a ugly untreated bit of alloy at the end rather than being the coated ali like the rest of the suppressor
if it has a fancy integrated muzzle brake it may need to be taken care around but just dont do it with a drill like i did
it makes a mess. thankfully I was able to hand that suppressor in during the buyback
