    Suppressor threading

Having recently moved to Auckland I need to cultivate some useful contacts again.
Does anyone have a pet gunsmith or experienced AND competent turner to recommend for threading a barrel fit a rimfire suppressor?

It's a fancy KIDD barrel and I don't want to take any risks.

Was considering sending rifle and new barrel and suppressor to Cleland - get some trigger tweaking done too.

I've had good service from Roger Spackman at Sub-Silent Suppressors.
He has a dedicated lathe he uses just for threading barrels.
As a bonus, he is Auckland based. Might be worth talking to him about suppressors while you are at it.

"It's a fancy Kidd barrel so don't want to take any risks" would probably rule out the above option

I can't speak highly enough about Scott Trail at ssrnz, this would be a very simple task for him.

Scott Traill is excellent but of course not in Orkland.
MAE did a superb job of threading on semi 22 for me. Not sure though if they just do threading - my threading was combined with the purchase of on of their suppressors.

I wouldn't have a problem driving across Auckland to MAE but certainly wouldn't do the same to get to RR's

If you do not need to get this done in Auckland, then +1 for Scott Traill at SSRNZ

Alan Reid Toolmaking in Ellice Rd, on the shore, done some work for me.
    Really happy with his work.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
