What was the recoil like? Richard at Serious Shooters launched one off a 45/70 years ago by shooting slow burning powder out of a v short barrel, and filling the can with unburned powder (I seem to remember that as the explanation - apologies if I misremember). Eventually it ignited in the suppressor and tried to reach escape velocity.

The bruise was impressive.
