Maybe VC, BUT ss lasts a shitload longer than alloy which cracks to (and fast, ask anyone with an alloy boat), and doesn't like fatigue at all. To get the same strength as ss the weight would be pretty much the same. So were are the advantages?

Yep everything fatiuges and cracks eventually, the old mans alicraft is 20+y now and only had its first cracks appear last year.He puts around 80 to 100 hours on the motor every year! With anything its all about design. And by that I mean designing for the expected load and fequency below yeild. That requires a clever barstard or a clever computer and someone who Knows how to work it.
Witch isnt me. If I was to build a helicopter it would be too strong to get of the ground
But it should be possible to build a alloy suppessor that is both lighter and stronger than a s/s(304/316)
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

308Win One chambering to rule them all.
