Does anyone regularly swap their optics?
Just wondered because I have a 3-9 scope on my AR and use that for fallow but when I go wallaby shooting it would be nice to have something a bit more compact. Im guessing I need a quick release mount

High end AR qr mounts seem to work fairly well but I still can't bring myself to trust them without firing a couple of shots to test them out.
Have had less than 1/3 moa change with both twin leaver arms mounts and trijicon mounts.
Some cheeper stuff has been in the multiple moa range.
Can you say why you find the 3-9 unsuitable ? :)Quote:

If your AR is a hunting rifle primarily, stick with the 3-9. That's what I had on my AR until I Made it more dedicated towards service rifle. It now has a fixed 3.Quote:

Yeah it works but it's more just I have a spare fixed power that's got a bdc reticle for the longer shots and is a heck of a lot smaller than my big scope. Might just fit it, hunt with it and see how I like it before I go buying quick release mounts
