The CL 10x30's are my go to bino's, use them for everything. I like them cos they're a bit smaller and lighter than a lot of other bino's. Super clear, and I use them right until last light. But have to be honest, I dont hunt those last 10 minutes, dont find the need to when I want meat for the freezer or a trophy, I figure theres always tomorrow. Haven't let me down yet and they've been carried and used a lot, held their own when I was guiding in Canada, could find animals a long ways away.

Just turned down this same path had all the alpha range finding Binos as it
Swarovski el, Zeiss Victory RF, and Leica HDB 2700. Sick of the comparimise with heavy
Awkward and always a slight optical compromise.
Got a set of 10x32 EL and I am happy light and amazing Swarovski glass.

I purchased a set of cl companions 10x30 for my wife a few years ago. very clear glass, I haven't done a proper comparison but they seem very similar to my el ranges 10x40 in terms of clarity. great binos for the price for sure and lightweight.

    Thanks for your assessment.
It was kind of what I was thinking, you have the convenience of a nice light compact quality pair of binoculars that will hopefully outweigh the trade off, which is the last light performance compared to a quality 42mm binocular.

The el 10x32 are at the top of my list, just trying to decide whether the cl 10x30 are going to do the job at roughly half the price. I’ve looked through both during the daytime and the cl’s were pretty close to the el’s

Thanks for your assessment, they do seem great value for the price
