    Swarovski Z5 vs Z6 differences

I'm looking to grab another scope for my 7mm RM (sako 75). Ideally looking at a z5i 3,5-18 x 44 BT 4W but they are scarce on the ground here. There are a few Z6i 2.5 - 15 x 44 BT's kicking about but another 1K+ for the ownership privilege. My questions for those in the know are:
    1. With the BT and a 30 mm tube in the Z6 are you still limited to 13.5 moa equivalent elevation after you set the BT as per the Z5?
    2. Is the tube length of the z6 long enough to straddle the big 75 action (375 H&H length) and adjust the eye relief back or forward as needed?
    3. Any advantage to going to the Z6i?
    Thanks,
    Dicko

4W reticle will be constant 2 moa at all powers vs the z5 at 18x only. Anything else?

All the swaro have limited up with the zero lock in place even z8 but z6 might be greater than z5 not 100% on that one I had around 17th a in my head but that uneducated.Yip long enough all swaros a bloody long scopes the z6 is mils not moa and I imagen the 4w no matter which model will still only be true at top mag. Awesome scopes the z6 I’d go for it

O believe zoom range is what you pay for.
I found erector spring s are the differences between Z3 and Z5, 6 and 8
I cannot find any confirmation of improved glass. It seems the glass is all the same level, that's a shame if it's right.
Great glass but for the money I would like to think there is a proportional increase

The glass on my Z8 is way ahead of the z5 I have had in the past.
Eye relief is also way better I've never used a z6 but assume it's better than a Z5.

    I run a 2,5-15x44 z6 and a 3-18x50 z6. Fantastic scopes

Isn't the Z5 assembled in the USA to compete in their home grown market & Z6 Germany? I've got a Z6 but cant compare directly with a Z5, glass is amazing tho.

Not right, both are second focal plane so the "calibration" of the reticle will only be correct at one power setting, in the case of that Z5 at 18X.

Mathias is confusing Swaros with Zeiss - the Conquests were just that, ie, assembled in the US to keep the price down and not attract tariffs.

The number stands for the zoom multiplier i.e. 2.4 x(z5)=12 or 2.5 x(z6)=15. Leupold also follows this naming logic. One also assumes with the increase in zoom they get an increase in quality or other functions.

Mathias was right and Z3 and Z5 scopes are assembled in the USA

Thanks for the input. Will have to try to get a look up close at both. I have a pre z6 30 mm swaro professional 4-12x50 that I really like and it’s driving me towards the z6i.

Yes, my z5 had ‘assembled in USA’ etched on it. The part he got wrong is Germany instead of Austria.
