Yeah ok, I removed the styrofoam so let's see if it makes it less sweaty in there. I won't put in a warming light or DampRid until I see how the gun-socks work.
I also forgot to mention that silicone is extremely thin, which means that the silicone water repellent coat will eventually wear off the gun-sock, leaving parts of my firearms more susceptible to rust.
I therefore intend to reapply a new coat onto each gun-sock using a can of silicone spray (under $10), every 4 months/3x a year (I also apply the same silicone spray to my sleeping bag for weather protection).
