Yep you really gotta watch .22's especially with subs, ricochets are common. Ok if you are in the middle of wide open spaces with no built up area or roads or anything around. But most of the properties I shoot are reasonably built up and I just cannot risk ricochets.
While I have a nice CZ 452 American in .22 lr it gets very little use.
My 17 Hornet and 17hmr on the other hand get a heap of use on these types of properties. Due to no ricochets or bullet pass thru's etc.
And I like walking down the ends of rows in the orchards and if I see a rabbit inside 200 yards it's dead, not easy to do that every shot with a 22lr
