T3 10 Round Mags - opportunity to buy prototype units at reduced price

Further to my posting regarding the Ranger T3 mags, I have been in discussion with Dave Walters in Australia who manufactures 10 round T3 mags for the .223 and .308 (also 6.5x55 and 30.06).

His .223 mags usually sell for AU$170 each and the .308 are AU$190 each, plus AU$34 each (or per pair) shipping, plus 6% paypal surcharge. Now that is still pretty cheap considering.
He currently has a limited supply of .223 mags which have surface defects in them which he is selling for AU$150 each ++

Today, he has just offered me his MK3 Prototyping mags being 8 of .223 and 8 of .308 mags for AU$100 each ++
The mags all work fine, they just have machining marks, and some aluminium bar patches on them (looks like where the mag hooks into the bottom metal on the rifle??)
He has offered me the prototypes first, before releasing them to the Aust network.

    Image above - prototype mags.

I was planning on buying a couple of the mags for myself.
Is there anyone else interested in any of the above?

No. Already asked the same question. The tapper on the 22-250 causes issues, and every hi cap mag seems to be the same. Stick with the factory 5 rounder.

Do you have a confirmed price on what they will cost by the time they get here, or just wait and see when it comes to shipping and other expenses?

For those interested in mags, please contact Dave on david.waters@ozemail.com.au

The prototype mags may have already gone as I missed one of his emails last night and he was going to send an email out to 12,000 shooters in Aust, so if you want a prototype at AU$100 I suggest you email immediately. He may well be doing them freight free. He only has 8 of thee .223 and 8 of the .308 in stock.

The 'seconds' he has are AU$150 for .223 (I suspect AU$170 for .308) plus freight, plus 6% PayPal charge.
Normal retail product is AU$170 and AU$190 respectively, plus freight, plus 6%.

A link to his product is Tikka T3 rifle 223 308 10 shot 10 round* metal magazine & single round block

So I assume you have a FAL for the state he is in?? When I purchased one 4 years ago a mate with a QLD FAL had to purchase. Not sure how he intends to get around that??
