Afternoon team,
After a bit of research, I am guessing Taieri Arms has closed down? Any ideas on how I could retrieve a receipt/if its even possible to. This is for a Vortex scope that was purchased there.

Yup closed down last year. Not sure if you would still be able to get the receipt but get in touch with Darren who owned it. Hes got a car yard now. DK motors. Should find his number on the website

I think you'll find you don't need a receipt for a Vortex scope warranty.
@TianBotha seems to have pretty in depth knowledge on the subject. Currently talking to Extravision Aus, who haven’t mentioned anything in regards to buying a receipt - could be a NZ problem. Warranty “issues” appear to be hindering the buy/sell of some Vortex products.

Yea man I’ve been told by other members that if you don’t have proof of purchase that you can pretty much scratch the warranty in NZ. A real pain, I managed to back track mine for the Bushnell Elite tactical I sold. Would be great if everyone kept and electronic copy of the receipts and pass it on as it gets sold along the way. In saying that, if places do get sold then how does anything that shop sold still get a warrant if the receipt has been lost? Seemed pretty strange to me too man.

It's not hard to trace a scope to one of the few wholesalers who bring these scopes in for retailers. Everything is serialized so knowing that, they shouldn't make you require a receipt for a warranty issue. Retailers who do that are incompetent and lazy IMO.
I thought that the Vortex warranty was their main selling point. Is this a case of Kiwi importers being tight arses?
Just talk to vortex direct service@vortexoptics.com
The Supplier from Aus is a bit special.
