    One of the problems with using an appropriate sized screw and then dressing it off to match the receiver, is that no matter how hard you try, you will always see a semi circle of missing thread. That method as shown by NZShoota is an excellent way of making it virtually invisible - nice job. I have also seen it done after the hole has been slightly countersunk to remove a tiny bit of the thread and to tidy up any swelling left from when it was tapped. Think they use a drill with a 45 degree point rather than the usual off the shelf drill bit.
